You can also add some chopped scallions or other vegetables if you like . 4) Place one piece of salmon or tuna fillet at opposite end of rectangle . Again , be careful not to overload your filling . You can also use cooked shrimp , crabmeat , or even sliced California roll inside your sushi instead of raw fish . The possibilities are endless ! 5) Start rolling up your sushi by slowly lifting up one end of the nori sheet while pressing down on the filling with your fingers . Be sure not to roll your sushi too tightly as this will make it difficult to eat later on . Continue rolling until you reach the end of the sheet . Repeat with remaining ingredients . Serve immediately with soy sauce and wasabi paste if desired
